Branding and packaging design for a blind box series.
Requires illustrations, print guideline, type design and manufacturing.
Handmade clay figures.
A series of 6 figures for a blind box series, centering on corporate coffee runs.
Simple character design for first-time claymaking that translates to the packaging design. Each figure will be accompanied by a miniature trinket dish that will interact with the figure in some capacity.
A play on the word "blues" for the brand colours and the potential of overwhelming despair in a corporate setting.
Characters and base dishes were first conceptualized and sketched. Clay figures and dishes were handsculpted with air dry clay, painted and then coated with a layer of resin.
Branding was extended from an existing corporate brand. Starting from a minimalist, flat-style illustration, misfortunes were immortalized and rendered in a three-dimensional space.
Figure box was designed with the intention of print and manufacturing. Test layouts and prints were done to ensure the correct orientation and ideal appearance of the product. As well as the structural integrity of the packaging.
Boxes were printed on heavy cardstock and hand assembled. Each box was fitted with additional material to protect the figures.
A set of 6 themed and personalized blind boxes, packaged in elevated branding.
And a happy corporate-based group of friends.
